Welcome aboard #50!

I started writing this newsletter almost a year ago very selfishly. Of course, I have always loved words, and this outlet was the short and sweet route to making sure I had a space to share without inhibitions, expectations or (as sometimes you would know) even reason.

But this exercise was (is!) also one to keep me accountable and hone this writing skill of mine in the age of sluggish ChatGPT LinkedIn posts and identical outreach emails.

So, with immense gratitude and a pinch of pride, on my 36th birthday, I bring to you:
The 50th M’s Monday Memo 🙂

Sitting in sunny Antalya, I actually didn’t have anything profound, epiphanic or outright controversial to share. Blue skies and turquoise waters do that to you, or maybe I am just a year wiser*.

Today’s quick memo is just a deep bow of gratitude to a staggering number of things in my life. And despite everything heavy we carry daily, I feel your birthday is the perfect moment to be glad you were born (spoken like the true Gemini I am) and are still here, surrounded with abundance.

So, starting with this one gift in my life - thank you, my beautiful reader, for your lavish patience and taking the time to read my weekly feelings and thoughts, spliced to feel somewhere between fresh and feral.

This is just #50; still pinching myself but we have many more seas to cross. See you on the ride.
M.

PS - I am not big on birthday bashes, gifts or cakes, but if you do want to celebrate with me, spare your next coffee money for these heroes.

*PPS - Definitely not wiser! My silly takes on all things business, branding and behaviour will return next week when I am not maxing-relaxing beside a pool.

M’s Currents

A small thing I loved this week: no structure or theme, just sharing some favourites.

Read: Just finished Circe, and I understand the hype around it. It was a quick read, a coming-of-age story of a woman unsure of her place in the world, along with the known, frustrating thread of societal rules and biases. Oh, and she’s a Greek Goddess. Of course she is.

xx
